Whitaker figures out Marquez and would consistently force him to lead, which Marquez always had a problem with, and be out of his comfort zone. And when they are close, Marquez would not land enough to negate this, and Pea would do his own body work whilst countering and slipping. Whitaker by a commanding UD.
Whitaker would take a slow paced lackluster decision 7-5...but all of his fans would say it was a shutout 10-2 at the worst.
I like JMM's work rate. Marquez can be agression and mix his shots up and start finding a home for that rt hand or he can revert back to the old Marquez and counter Pea with the rt - left hook-Uppercut to the body and head. I like the way JMM can mix his shot selection and versatility when he wants too.
Pea takes it after a frustrating first couple of rounds where both men are hesitant and feeling each other out. Marquez might land one or two big right hands, maybe even dropping him once and complains saying he did enough to win based on the few sprinkled moments of excitement.
Style nightmare for Marquez and the fans. Whitaker wins with something to spare in a stinker. 117-111.
