I dont know, Im actually scared to see this fight for Valero, healthwise.

Valeros has a slight chance if he happens to catch JMM early.

    who?

if me, then lighten up. I don't mean that JMM would literally kill Valero. Its a figure of speech

JMM probably knocks him out in 7 or 8

What has amateur boxing got to do with this discussion?

I'll ask you again, are you telling me that Edwin Valero at this time is at the same/higher level than Ricardo Mayorga when he fought Vernon Forrest?

A simple yes or no answer is all that need suffice.

It shows how far he is fundamentally ... no matter if he throws wide punches at times ... he knows how to throw combinations ... he knows how to lead with his power hand ... he has a good jab ...

Valero has yet to prove he can beat a complete fighter.

This would happen as a tune up fight for Marquez.

Or they could face each other when Marquez picks Valero as a sparring partner for Pacquiao.

Thankyou for at least answering the question.

Now what leads you to believe that Valero is on a higher level than Mayorga on the back of 1 decent win over Vicente Mosquera, where he was fighting a guy who'd only just claimed the belt against a poor fighter anyway, who was struggling to make weight, and was knocked down in the process of being taken 10 rounds by him?

Valero would kill Pacman but he would get seriously hurt and knocked out by someone like Marquez. IT's a mismatch.

    Marquez TKO6 Valero

Valero WILL NOT BE IN THE LW tournament, win lose or draw against Pitalua, it is a Golden Boy tournament and Top Rank have already said Pitalua will be Valero's only fight in the round robin.

Valero vs. JMM is a possibility I think.

    However;

    1) Valero's power is overrated. IMO Marquez hits harder.

    2) Valero's much feted 'skills' he 'has shown in sparring' is bull****. Sparring and fighting are totally different, Valero goes to his instincts when he gets in the ring and that is to wing wildly.

    3) Even if Valero did have skills, they wouldn't match Marquez.

Basically, JMM would stop Valero inside five. Has anyone who rates Valero so much seen his fight with Mosquera??? Unless Valero has done a Manny Pac in just a few fights and turned into a nearly punch-perfect boxer-puncher (which has taken Manny ages and he has only shown this 'perfection' in fights with David Diaz and shot DLH) which I assume he hasn't, he will be easy pickings for JMM.

I hope the fight does happen. An impressive win for Marquez (in a fight that would undoubtedly capture the attention, flash Valero's record around and fool people into thinking he's good and chuck him in with increasingly more well-known no.2 P4P Marquez) and hopefully Pac-JMM 3 will HAVE to be made.
