JMM is not over-rated. If mayweather moved up to light-heavy and got dominated by bhop would you say pbf is over-rated?

JMM is definitely overrated in a historical sense around here...But I cant blame people to much for that, they just have absolutely no clue about fighters of the past. Marquez is a fine fighter but quite a few guys beat him at 126-130 and lots beat him at 135.

As for being overrated now...I cant see how really..He has proven himself against good fighters showing top notch technical ability and skill, he is arguably 2-0 against the p4p no1 in the world and has shown balls and heart that few are willing to these days.
He is one of the best fighters in the world today and deserves his p4p accolades without a doubt.

My only gripe is that his lightweight form has to be put into context a little more...Casa was a shell and Diaz just wasnt as good as people want to believe.

Lets be real here though..what Mayweather did to him is exactly what should have happen..cant call Marquez overrated today just because a few people wanted to believe he was a shot of an upset.

Yes, he's overrated. In his quest to chase Pac, he suddenly realized that he cannot move up and down in weight like Pac. It's shame that fight happened at all. It was a sad day for boxing.

He is great in 135. He should not fight Pac at 140 or else he'll get knocked out.

JMM is not over rated, but it was a mismatch in size. yes, jmm is 2 in the p4p, but what if vic darcharynian was 2 in p4p. would pbf challenge vic. i mean the people that put fight together were only looking at the names of the fighters.

Didnt floyd move up from lightweight??? that is only four pounds north of were JMM started, so why would he have to move to lt heavyweight to compare what JMM did by moving up to fight him...

Yes Jmm is abit over rated as is Pac. The reason being he when people take about a fighter fighting hand-picked guys the first name that should come up if people were being totally honest would be PAC. And he is doing it again to a degree with Cotto who they think is shot or eles they wouldnt have signed the fight.

JMM is and will forever be linked with Pac, the reason is most felt that JMM twice beat Pac, and even more felt that he won at least one of the two fights. So you cant move Pac up without moving JMM up.

If Pavlik beat PBF in a boxing match, would that make him P4P?

Yes, because he should not fight him in the first place. It's a mismatch. He knew it. Well, he has two million dollar reasons to do this fight.

On another point, where is the evidence Hatton was "shot" when he fought Pacquiao??
His only previous loss was against Mayweather at welter(hardly shameful),and he then went in to dominate Lazcano(even if he was rocked,he won basically every round in the fight),and then proceeded to dominate Pauli who was considered the 2nd best light-welter around at the time, and then fought Pac.
He was only 30 years old on top of that,so how on earth was he "shot"??
