Juan knows he is going to lose, but he is thinking about his retirement. No matter who he fights, he is not going to earn the money that he wants for retirement if he is not fighting the Pacman.

what you miss is how many pac-TR fights he can make while pac is in the spotlight

if floyd embarrasses his ass....you think pac-clottey would have sold 700k? nope...you think pac-margo would have sold 1 mil...nope

you think people would be knocking on the door and offering up pac favored splits? nope

8 pac-TR fights where arum controls the entire card and skims 20-30% off of the entire event makes him more than one pac-may fight

you can sheer a sheep many times, but skin it only once

So Mayweather is afraid then? Is that it? A professional fighter who has fought the likes of Coralles, De La Hoya, Hatton, Manfredy, Castillo, Gatti, Judah... Get a ****ing grip son! Tell you what... Judah vs Pac. Now there's a fight. Relatively low risk for Pac, but would go some way to showing your boy ain't afraid of slick counter-punchers. Hell, JMM outboxed him twice and Morales boxed his ears off first time when EM had some left. Face it, Floyd is Pac's worst nightmare stylistically. Pac has a puncher's chance is all.

I'm of the opinion that he has Pac's number in a boxing ring ;)

I don't believe it. Cotto looked strong. Margo looked strong.

And Pac's best weight is 144-145, that's what he says he feels most comfortable at. Why should he comprimise that to accomadate Marquez, who is the one that needs the fight and disrespects him regularly in the media? To make the haters happy? lol

Pac's weighed over 144 for a year now in his last 3 fights. How can anyone besides his camp say for sure he can get down to 140 without giving away anything?

Plus Marquez was willing to fight Mayweather at his best weight, he can fight Pac at his. You don't hear him complaining about Mayweather's weight advantage. Infact he's called him the best fighter in the world because of they way he beat him. Pac won't outweigh him by 15-20lbs like Mayweather did. They will most likely be a similar weight fight night they were in their last fight, only Pac won't have to drain himself to make weight.

and what you missed was floyd is not entirely interested on this fight form the onset. at least arum is giving floyd a chance and all floyd has to do was call arum's bluff if arum is not really interested in a pacquiao-mayweather fight. but no, floyd instead goes on his holiday instead of blowing this arum propaganda of pitting pac against TR fighters only.

mayweather might not be afraid per se but he is afraid of what he would see inside the ringg once he fought someone like pacquiao. he knows he could win but he knows he ahd to walk through hell to get it. and he thinks his status is all besed from being undefeated has make him reluctunt to take this "easy" fight according to him.

i hope floyd has the same confidence as you when it comes to facing pacquiao.

cotto was beaten before he stepped in the ring...come on man, joe santiago?

and why does JMM need the fight so badly? he got a whopper of a payday off the floyd fight, so let's not try and pretend he isn't doing ok in the $ department

and everyone knew how the margo fight would go...did you see the odds?

pac needs his weight manipulation to win...he outweighed people in the lower weights...and fought hand-picked guys at higher weights....he won't fight jmm, a guy who has pac timed, unless he can outweigh him...that's the truth

arum was never giving him a chance

all pac had to do was accept the tests, but if you listen carefully, pac's words start to change as things got closer to a deal..and they starting sounding exactly like arum's (so exact that they were the same, word for word)

so now it's the etst and not arum? make up your mind. so the fight was not made because of arum or the test and floyd's vacation or losing his urge or even senior telling his son not to fight pacquiao has nothing to do with it.

They'll probably weigh-in the same during fight night. Marquez weight 148 when he fought Mayweather.

Anyway, I'd like to see this fight again but I don't think Marquez can be on par with Pacquiao this time even if the fight is at 140.

JMM is a great fighter. A mexican legend in his own right and I wanna see him fight pacquiao at 140 not above that. It has to be fair and pacquiao is a 140lber. if the fight against floyd or sergio never gets made, marquez is a good fight to prove how much pacquiao has evolved since their last meeting.

Well said. If Floyd embarrasses Pac, the million dollar PPV's go down the drain. That's not set in stone. But, there is a high enough probability (greater than 50%) of this happening that this becomes a very risky fight. A loss is risky for Floyd too, for the same reason. Both of these guys seem invincible right now. That perceived invincibility sells tickets and PPV's. Once that is gone, you will see the public interest decline sharply, in the loser, IMO. There's no doubt that Arum is fully aware of that...as is Floyd.

These other in-house fights, they've been making are, actually, a safer gamble. The house gets to keep all the money, despite the outcome.

no it's been arum, that's the point....reading comprehension son

pac was ok with the testing, then his words started to echo arum's and he needed cut-offs and then "the commission"

i strongly believe pac would have taken tests, just not the day of...but i think arum is the one who started the cut-off nonsense, and pac is a yes man, let's face it...he does what arum says
