Yes, another way to put it is that Pac had problems with JMM's counter punching abilities but some dont think he wont have a terrible time with PBF's counter punching and defense which was shown to be far superior to JMM head to head?

The writing is on the wall, PBF is a terrible style for Pac and I cant wait until they fight to show those that blindly support Pac while trashing everyone else that they were wrong all this time.

Corely had Floyd stunned and buzzed pretty badly. Floyd is beatable, he's just so cool in the ring he doesn't get rattled or taken out of his game. Someone who is as fast and with the same talent level and of course, the right style will give Floyd problems. PAC has those attributes but I don't think it would be enough to beat him at 147. 140...I'd favor PAC.

Stylistically Floyd is a nightmare for anyone. .....what we have to do is figure out what style is a problem for Floyd....counter punching against anther counter pucher with tremendous reflexes like floyd is not the style to beat him. PAC is a pressure fighter who implements intelligent pressure and spuratic offense. that can be a problem for Floyd. Not to mention PAC is just as fast and has just as good reflexes and the fight is very compelling to say the least. I still favor Floyd at 147 but he is natrually the larger man who fights a very cautious and defensive kind of fight. It's difficult for anyone.

Yes, it was pretty obvious JMM was slower than usual, the extra pounds did not do him any good.

Well, Floyd didn't arguably lose to JMM, he dominated him.
    No controversy here!

Well, Pacquiao, arguably, lost to Marquez... twice.
    Highly controversial!

    Co-sign! :good

Pacquiao, who got an ass whooping from a shop worn Morales, has no business in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather is an even better counter-puncher than Marquez. Pacquiao struggled and went life and death with a smaller man, simply because he doesn't have the skills to avoid JMM's counters.

Add in Floyd's reach advantage, speed advantage, size advantage, defense advantage, IQ advantage, and reflex advantage... well... it's pretty obvious that Mayweather is way beyond the league of a one-dimensional fighter such as Pacquiao.

I see Mayweather taking Marquez gameplan against Pacman and perfecting it. I believe the fight would be a mismatch.

    AGREED!

Mayweather should fight Pacman for another tuneup, and then fight someone who can actually fight back like Mosley.

Money Mayweather had to shut up the Hatton fans.

He faced JMM only because he whooped Pacquiao, and will be used for negotiation purposes against Arum. Floyd has done far superior PPV numbers against all common opponents, and dominated the man who arguably beat Pacquiao twice.

Pacquiao fans claim Pac can beat Floyd, so that's why he added Pac on his hit list. After he destroys and embarrasses Pacquiao, he will fight Mosley for a real fight and you'll pay to watch it! :good

Corrales was undefeated and on the top 5 p4p rankings, he would have beat JMM and Pacquiao as well.

JMM, p4p2, already outboxed Pacquiao, Floyd dominated him.

Genaro only had 1 loss to a prime DLH. Floyd schooled him.

    Hatton was undefeated.

Castillo was the best lightweight in the world at the time.

Thanks for the post, however, Pac fans are in denial. For one, Pac is too small for Money, his skills are limited, no disrespect because that is why Marquez gave him hell. If Marquez could get out of the way of a left hook, he would have beat Pac twice. The only punch was effective was the left hand of Pac. He does not throw body shots, uppercuts, jab, and his balance is horrible, and defense is too. He has no business in the ring with Floyd because once Floyd takes away or neautralize the left hand, what other plan will pac have? The biggest mistake Pac fans are making is comparing the Hatton and Oscar fights. Hatton and Oscar fights nothing like Floyd, however, Marquez and Floyd are technicians whom have mastered the basics but Floyd showed he is in another class. That is why Floyd was cautious with Marquez because he knows Marquez knows all the tricks. The only thing Floyd has to do is take away Pacs left hand and it is all over. I cant wait for the look on Pacs fan faces when Floyd dismantles him.:yikes
