    Seriously?:blood

Tell me you are just trolling and joking on this topic.

But you are right, it won't happen becasue John will never leave his fans in Indonesia to fight a live body.:yep

I haven't seen the Norwood fight as I can't seem to find it anywhere. But the Chris John fight, what a freaking travesty. One of the worst hometown robberies ever.

Don't listen to those stupid JMM haters who claim the fight was actually close as it is obvious they can't score for ****. Marquez should have won by very wide cards. :deal

Fact: Chris John has twice as many former title holders than Juan Manuel Marquez.

John has beaten 6 beltholders. That's not a shitty resume where he's just living off a win over JMM.

41-0 record obviously is not a shitty resume, and so is Edwin Valero's 24-0 record as well.

But the thing is, we won't be even talking about him if not for that JMM victory.

Marquez beat John comfortably despite looking bad in the process.

The point deductions were bull**** and John offered up little offense, scoring with only a handful of quality punches over the 12 rounds.

Marquez was not much better but i found it difficult to give John more than 4 rounds.

John badly needs a good jab.

Just finished the Norwood fight and I scored it 114-114, somehow. Norwood scored a knockdown in the 2nd and Marquez scored a knockdown in the 9th - but, Marquez also scored a knockdown in the 8th and was ****ed over by Joe Cortez who ruled it a slip. Basically, Norwood tooled Marquez with perfectly timed straight left hands throughout that fight and did enough to win. Marquez made very little contact aside from a few decent scoring shots here and there, and his knockdowns. Norwood dictated most of what went on. They were feinting each other out of their boots, and Norwood was by far getting the best of it.

Harold Lederman scored it 115-111 for Marquez, and gave some of the weakest reasoning possible for giving the nod to Marquez for simple generic activity during rounds when Norwood would land 3+ hard, head rocking left hands, and Marquez would come forward and throw punches and land almost nothing. It's disturbing listening to Lederman's reasoning, he's a sick guy at times.

Yup, I know that. Not much news on John lately though he had one fight early this year and the next coming soon. He needs to get a fight with a big name as soon as he can.

He is not getting any younger. Any fight in US against anyone should give his idle career a much-needed boost.

I would like to see him against Juarez or Linares or even Guerrero or Litzau.

Marquez beat John clearly in a boring fight, but a clear Marquez win nonetheless. Anyone giving that fight to John more or less just doesn't know how to score fights.

Where, when, and what channel (or did you see it live) did you see the fight?

I don't believe it was televised in the US. I know I saw it because a friend had it on DVD.
