padded record you've ever seen: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=129817&cat=boxer This has probably been discussed before, but indulge me because I've kinda been drifting in and out of ESB the last few months. Any other currently active fighters with a more padded one than this bloke. I mean 42-0 (2 NC's), and this guy is only ranked No.4.......at LWW ............in Argentina. And I don't know who this Andres Pablo Villafane is, but the guy must be made of ****ing marshmallows because that's the only dude that Cuenca has managed to stop. Fair enough if this guy was like a 14 year old Mexican getting **** loads of fights under his belt against shitty opposition, as we've seen that before. But this guy is 31 years old. I was about to ask what is the point in this guy even boxing if he's not gonna test himself and level-up, but I suppose I already know. Fact is he's leveling-up now against Marquez, and maybe that was the plan all along - keep knocking over stiffs (sorry, outpointing stiffs) until you get a big money offer from a recognised name due to your nice shiny unbeaten record. Good financially, but not exactly ideal preparation for the fight itself. Sorry, ranting away here. Just a general discussion wanted here, if it hasn't already been done, and some more examples of other crap-filled unbeaten records.
Fair enough, he does actually have Carlos Vilches on there. Didn't spot that initially. Still rubbish though. Anyone seen him fight? With that KO record, I'm really expecting some kind of master boxer type.
Because he wants to keep busy againts some one decent without the dangerous punching power to turn a fight on its head
Nice shiny unbeaten record, and obviously something of a tune-up. I just spotted it on boxrec and thought the guy's record was laughable.
No danger of that happening here. And in relation to Marquez I don't even think this guy qualifies as decent. Looks more like the type Fwank drafts in for his Brit level prospect to look good against.
If he's treading water, he's entitled. Check out his competition level for the last few years, it's literally the highest in the sport.
I think they score 10-9.5 rounds over there if it's close, along with 9 and 11 round fights, and referees getting death threats, and riots with plastic chairs getting thrown around.
