Boxing is a business, not a sport. Sometimes, you get a hometown decision going against you. Things would only be as bad for Ion as you paint them if he wasn't any good, but then, why would he care, then? However, he's proved to be a fighter who will soon have the chance to prove himself as a B level fighter, and B level fighters will almost always have a good career, even if they get robbed a couple of times along the way. The future is fairly bright for Ion because he's good.

Jo Jo Dan himself showed character and sportsmanship after the decision: "I am glad I didn't make a fool of myself in there, and that I showed I could compete at a high level. I thought I won, but the judges did not. But life goes on and I hope I will get the chance to fight for a world title."

Aydin is also a good guy; after the fight, he told Jo Jo Dan: "Well done; you won the fight!"

So, two good guys who put on a decent fight.

Aydin showed me what a good guy he is with all those punches after the stop and those elbows in there

And Ion used his head - reminded me of Bika - and hugged a lot. He wasn't Mr Clean in there either. Doesn't make him a bad guy.

Well he didn't headbutt Aydin to a KD did he ? And clinches are pretty common in boxing. Aren't they ? The only thing is that shoulder push he executed a couple of times. And he got a warning from the referee right away unlike Aydin for those punches behind the head and after the referee stop.

Aydin fought dirty but not as dirty as he'd have had licence to do, given the ref. The reason Ion lost was not because of the way Aydin fought.

Because of how the referee acted in the first round , giving Dan the 8 count insted of taking 1 point from Aydin he practically transformed the 116-111 in fav of JoJo in the 114-113 in fav of Aydin

Aydin did not win more than 3 rounds, so even with a 10-8 for him in the first, he couldn't have got a fair decision.

Thats why the UFC is getting more popularity each year...ONE organisation for all the fighters...Always good match-ups and 99% of the time good decisions without contreversy...But the bad thing about UFC is that it SUCKS compared to the level of skills of Championship Boxing. The top dogs in UFC are bums compared to the stars of Boxing .
