In a obviously biased split decision, Jo Jo Dan was robbed in the fight with Selcuk Aydin.I would hardly gave a draw there.Am I subjective?
The man they call little tyson, my farts holds better resemblance to Mike Tysons fighting style, no offense to Mike. Please someone with relative power on boxrec, edit his nickname to the "Foul Turk". Oh and.. **** Ahmet Öhner.
In skimming your RBR it seemed like Dan won more of 4-12. He definitely closed the show in the 12th, so if it was close heading into that round he should have "taken the title". Even though it's just a piece of trash fake silver trinket.
yeah official scores were 114-113 twice Aydin and 116-111 Dan had it 116-111 too Dan outworked him and Aydin missed most of his shots besides all the rapid punches. imo it wasnt close and the referee was a joke too.
I gave Dan two of the first three... not a complete robbery but a definite ugly decision.. fighting in turkey though? :rofl how could you NOT expect it especially with Oner...
I thought it was close. The scorecards did not surprise me as I thought it could go either way. I'm not impressed with either fighter anyways.
The fight was very similar with tha Kessler-Froch with Dan in the role of Kessler. Froch gave the most clear punches but was finally outboxed that to lose. Do you remember the words of Froch after the fight: "if the fight was in England, the decision would have been other way". Now is the reverse situation. Options:Shoul box become a sport with matches home-out like others?
Score for who? Notice that a referre got 8 rounds for Dan an the other 5 rounds each. I you were there, the turks would have had the relief earlier.:yep
By Alexey Sukachev Selcuk Aydin (20-0, 16 KOs) is a new WBC Silver welterweight champion after a highly controversial decision over junior welterweight Ionut Dan Ion (26-1, 14 KOs), also known as Jo Jo Dan, from Romania. The decision was split but it didn't reflect a situation in the ring. The Romanian fighter (ranked #1 by the WBC and #3 by the WBO at 140 lb) moved up in weight and delivered the best fight of his life outtoughing and outboxing highly-intensed WBC #2 Turkish brawler in front of his partisan crowd at Abdi Ipekci Spor Salonu in Istanbul. Aydin was a bit better in the first couple of rounds but Dan gradually took the fight under his control to the middle rounds and from round four the only stanza he lost was the eighth round when hard-hitting Turk put him on the brink of stoppage. However, the Romanian boxed better in later rounds and gave Aydin some painful lessons. Yet he was unable to get a decision. " a famous boxing site" saw it 117-111 - in favour of Jo Jo Dan. Andre Berto is the main WBC champion at 147 lbs.
