I'm from the same city as Arthur but I'm not a great fan, having said that i'd be pulling for him bigtime against Joeanne Snoozeman.
Arthur is a decent all round fighter, apart from his defence which is shite. I'd say he's not good enough to hang with the top dogs around the classes....it's time to find out one way or another.

Haven't heard of this Alex Arthur, I looked him up in boxrec and his record looks ok. Several undefeated fighters he has beaten.

    Go AAA!

    Do it for Scotland!

I would have favoured a prime Harrison over Guzman who would have had his skinny ass thrown all over the ring but i do confess it will be much harder for Alex...

Guzman is the favourite for sure and will probably take it by decision or late stoppage but cmon Alex anyway....first title in your 3 weight ambition !

whilst i agree with you on your prediction these sort of posts blow my mind. how can you predict the outcome of a fight when you've never even heard of one of the fighters? let alone seen him.

According to BC (yesterday's news) GBP has already denied that this fight is finalized. According to Schaefer, it's going to a purse bid.

Of course it would be a good fight on a terrific undercard. I'd pick a Guzman UD/late TKO win but Arthur is one tough kid, believe me. I've heard that he had some very intense sparring sessions with Floyd and as a pressure fighter he has the style to make Guzman work for his money. Like in the case of Hatton-Mayweather, Arthur would bring out the best of Guzman, and at his best he stops Arthur in the later rounds. Good fight! Hope they make it. If not, make a David Diaz - Joan Guzman fight.

    Lacy destroys Calzaghe!:D

AA will give Guzman some interesting moments but will be stopped late.
    Simular to Hatton v Floyd.
