You can live in denial all you want, but Guzman is about to become a three division world champion, solidifying his spot in boxing history and the hall of fame.

If Marquez targets Hatton, then Katsidis will be elevated to full WBO champ and considering both have ties to GBP, unification should be next. After which Guzman will have 2 belts and a lot of clout. 2010 is going to be a hell of a year for Joan. He will be ranked by any legitimate boxing writer in the top 5 p4p by year end 2010.

Enjoy the ride we're all about to go on. Watch the master and learn something.

He was 143 a week ago. He has 2 weeks to lose 8 lbs. Said weight will not be a factor this time around.

    2 wrongs don't make a right. Let's hope Joan isn't another victim.

I like Guzman but even if he wins I don't think he gets in the HOF.To many inconsistencies in his career altough he is a superb talent and boxer on par with Mayweathr in skills altough he left his power at 122.

Anywya the WBO are pulling for a Katsidis-Barrios fight next year so I don't know what next for the Dominican.

Guzman has talent, but lacks heart/desire. He might not even beat Funeka who is a pretty good fighter.

Funeka is a damn good fighter, this one is tough. I mean this is why you have to respect Guzman, he's been off for a bit but he's jumping right back into the ring with a guy as dangerous as Funeka. co-sign this thread the Syucan Warrior will be an HOF

Yes, he stepping up taking on Funeka after so much inactivity. Funeka is like 6"1' and can box pretty well. He was out-boxing Campbell often in their fight. If not for the KD's he definitely would have outpointed Campbell, and it was still very close even with them. I hope Guzman's opponents continue to reflect his talent. This should be a good fight.

Funeka is going to beat Guzman anyway, so nonsense talk about how Guzman "clinches the HoF on saturday" threads can stop now. Even, if he somehow gets by Ali, it's not that impressive.
