So he doesn't KO every fighter he faces makes him overrated??? And the one SD on his record against Barrios was bull**** he dominated Barrios.:deal Stop hating.
Guzman has the reflexs to get out of the way of punches. Taylor doesn't even try. Big difference. Guzman= underrated
taylor = undisputed middleweight champ ... other guy ... well .. we'll see soon as he steps up in competition
Dude, i would bet my whole net worth otherwise, guzman can be undisputed champ he has not had the chance to prove himsefl against these opponents
I think we will all know if he is indeed either a hype job, an overrated boxer, or the real deal after his fight with Soto. I was somehow impressed with his endurance and dominance of Barrios, who eventhough limited, is a big puncher. Just some obversation: Guzman was not hit clean and hard by Barrios, and so i think that is the reason he won there. He knows how to evade punches, and Barrios being slow did obviously help. Now, Soto is a different animal. He is also big and tall for 130, throws solid powerful combinations, and can box well if he wants. I think of all the fights ths year, this is the most interesting to watch. You can not be sure who will win.
The one thing I'd like to see Guzman do/improve on is straightening up his right hand. He tends to loop it...
He is not rated anywhere within top 10 P4P so I wouldn't say he's overrated. One thing is for sure though, he lack power at 130. He can land a lot of looping shots that although scores, doesn't seem to hurt his opponents,
He is definitly underrated. You dont see him mentioned in any top 10 p4p ratings, yet he is undefeated, champion in 3 weight classes and looks spectacular.
