Interesting! I believe Guzman is much easier opponent for pac than JMM!

To bad! Guzman is not in the short list of pac's next opponent/s.

If there was a fight that I want pac to fight before he moves on to 135 was a fight with guzman.

I beleive guzman will be lonely at 130lbs so I will surely move up to 135lbs too!

One's things for sure. Guzman will get his biggest PAYDAY of his career if he fight's Pac! :hey

I don't think anybody there can offer him more $$$ than a fight with pac.

If there is? it would be interesting to know who that fighter is...

This thread and many others about Guzman clearly illustrate why he is still the most underrated fighter in the world. He would beat anybody 135 and under even though he's past his prime.

Can't really say because we've only seen him fight against Humberto Soto. Put him in there with an elite fighter and we will see how good he really is.

The Barrios fight was in no way shape or form close, or even competetive.

Untested? So your just going to ignore his victory over the very much avoided Humberto Soto?

Yeah, most people who bring up that bull**** SD have never seen the fight. It pisses me off that the HBO team didn't make any kind of big deal about it too, Larry Merchant even tried to give a reason for justifying it. That fight was a Guzman domination, just like any other one of his fights. The only time he loses rounds is when he gives them away and there's no way you can that argue he gave more than 3 away (at the very worst, if you're being biased against him, more than 4) in any of his fights.

Guzman is the best fighter 130-135 until it is proven otherwise in one of his fights. People who say "he has never fought an elite fighter" should also say "Pacquiao/Diaz have never fought anybody like Guzman".

Probably had something to do with Guzman's defensive ability, quickness, unpredictable offense, and movement.

Reasonably close? Guzman won at least 8 rounds in that fight.

It'ss annoying when fans do that.

"Toney wasn't the same Toney against Jones like he was against Barkley."

"Pavlik looked like he had an off night in the Taylor rematch."

"Miranda didn't look the same against Pavlik as he did against Gibbs."

Never taking into consideration that their opponent probably had something to do with it.

Fair enough.... I remember watching the fight, and having it comfortably for Guzman. Can't remember the exact score though. I know he did take rounds off though at times, and that Barrios looked pretty average in there.
