    “I have no respect for Pacquiao, He has turned me down so many times. His people around him and media in the Philippines have asked why am I being so demanding and who have I beaten to deserve a shot at Pacquiao? Well I want them to ask themselves that same question. What did Pacquiao do to deserve a shot at Marco Antonio Barrera when they fought the first time? But Barrera being a true warrior he gave the unknown and unheard of Pacquiao a chance. Pacquiao is not doing this; he’s being protected by his people. No disrespect to Juan Manuel Marquez, I think he deserves his shot at Pacquiao too. I am hoping to fight the winner. Don’t be surprised if Marquez knocks his ass out,” said Guzman.

    How come Pac has been unwilling to fight this guy since they were at 122?

    Boxers would say ANYTHING practically anything to get the opponents attention for a fight. After all if Joan gets his wish. He will get his biggest pay check. Don't forget that boxing is also business!

    Good luck Joan! Continue saying all the things you have to say to get pac's attention. After all if you succeed in getting a fight with him. Win or lose you could probably retire comfortably on the pay check you will be getting!!!

    Let's be real, Pac will never fight this guy. It just doesn't make business sense. As a fan though, I would love to see these two go at it.

    Pac knows Guzman is a stylistic nightmare for him. His speed, counter-punching, defense and movement would give him fits.

    Pacquiao-Guzman is my dream match-up but Pac is not the only one who calls the shots. Aside from making perfect business sense, Manny's rematch with Marquez has always been highly anticipated since they first met nearly four years ago. Hopefully, Guzman will get his chance but not until late next year.
