I guess you're referring to my obvious support of Mayweather. Let's put it this way, at least it's a picture/avatar I'm using, something I can remove with one click if I decide to. However, your support of Gatti is far worse yet you don't see me picking on it?, let's face it, you're a walking ass kiss of Gatti with a username like "thunder". Not even close if you want to compare. :D

Though I applaud what Guzman is doing he should be compensated in some way...The man still risks his life...Hey give him the lowest number possible...To let him know that this is what he could be earning again if he ****s up ..I just don't like the idea that King needs options on him...There is nothing worse than being with a pissed off Don King.

He's coming back :deal, prepared for another massacre?

Don't want to change the topic but I can't understand why THE HELL is he even considering coming back, if losing to Alfonso Gomez is not enough proof he's BEYOND shot then I don't know what is. Just hoping it's not money related though it looks like it.

The most good one sided that goes threw my head now is Trinidad vs Mayorga, loved that fight, just fenomenal. And Gatti didn't have one-sided brawls if you are pointing to that.

His fight with Baldomir wasn't exactly competitive.

Guzman needs to do something very drastic to save his career and this is it, now its up to Campbell to see if he bites or not, I doubt he will when fights with Barrera and JMM are on the horizon.

Here's the deal. Guzman's promoter and manager made somewhat of an offer to settle our pending lawsuit from the Sept 13 nonsense. Essentially, they agreed to forfeit Guzman's purse (estimated around $200-300k) if we agreed to another fight. I personally rejected the offer myself for a number of reasons.

    1. Nate's damages are $400k, not $200-300k (Nate received $0 for the fight)
    2. There will be no discussion of a new fight, until settlement is complete from the previous breached contract.
    3. There are no network dates available that would generate enough money to meet the settlement amount.
    4. The WBO is dropping Guzman completely out of the rankings at 135, so if Nate fought him he would be stripped of the WBO title.
    5. It is almost certain that even if tv dates were available, Showtime or HBO would not take another chance on Guzman at this point.
    6. Nate has an IBF mandatory due next, and can only get an exception to fight someone else ranked in the IBF top 15, which Guzman is not, so fighting him would cause Nate to be stripped of the IBF title.
    7. Guzman has a pending suspension issue to deal with in Miss., which hasnt yet been resolved.
    8. His complete lack of professionalism, pulling out literally 2 hours before the fight should not be rewarded with an immediate unified title fight.

If anyone needs more reasons, I can keep going.......

Edit: And from Guzman's people's standpoint, this deal makes all the sense in the world. Think about what it will cost them in dollars and in time to have Guzman fight off-tv, and move him back up in the rankings to position for another title shot. Probably a half million or better, and 12-18 months at least. Of course it makes sense for them to offer us this deal. It's a no-brainer for them. But alas, I in fact do have a brain, so its a no-deal on our end.
