In case you hadn't heard, the WBA will not be penalizing Guzman for not making weight. Complete BS if you ask me.

What does the WBA have to do with it? It was a WBO mandatory defense. And the WBO told me they are dropping Guzman completely out of the rankings at 135. That's a pretty severe penalty.

If anyone needs more reasons, I can keep going.......

Edit: And from Guzman's people's standpoint, this deal makes all the sense in the world. Think about what it will cost them in dollars and in time to have Guzman fight off-tv, and move him back up in the rankings to position for another title shot. Probably a half million or better, and 12-18 months at least. Of course it makes sense for them to offer us this deal. It's a no-brainer for them. But alas, I in fact do have a brain, so its a no-deal on our end.

good points. campbell and your team has suffered enough because of guzman being unprofessional. its too risky for someone to fight guzman knowing that he has track records of pulling off fights. campbell is better off fighting someone else than guzman.

The truth is Nate Campbell is scared. YES HE IS.
It takes a real CHAMP to fight for free.
If you read the past articles the DOCTOR told Guzman not to fight!
One Punch is just making up excuses not to fight because they know it will be embarrassing for them if they loose the fight.
By giving up his purse GUZMAN has proven to the world he is a real CHAMP!

You won't necessarily get anything from Guzman, especially if Guzman does what Nate has just done and declared bankruptcy.

That wouldnt work. We actually have to go after Sycuan, because they signed a "provision of services" agreement with King, and the breach of that agreement (their failure to provide Guzman's services) is the direct cause of Nate's daamges. Initially, we thought the action would be against Guzman individually, but as we got into things we learned that it actually needs to be against Sycuan. Now Guzman could bk to protect himself from Sycuan coming after him for their eventual losses in the Campbell case, because I'm sure there's a bout agreement between them for the fight, and Guzman definitely breached that contract with Sycuan, but thats their problem. Guzman doing a bk doesnt affect Nate one bit.
