    can someone explain these weigh-in numbers for Guzman's fights?

    2007-11-17 129½ Humberto Soto 130
    2008-12-20 135 Ameth Diaz 134¼
    2009-11-28 134½ Ali Funeka 133¾
    2010-03-27 144 Ali Funeka 135
    2010-12-11 144½ Jason Davis 143

    so in the 4 months between the 1st and 2nd fights with Funeka, he weighed in nearly 10 pounds more. and his most recent fight was meant to be a 140-pound fight but both fighters came in over.

    Precisely my point. A fighter that is prepared the right and intelligent way, the weigh-in is a non issue, its a given they will make the weight
