    Amsterdam, you'd have to say the same thing about Soto than too. The only reason he fought Juarez was because Injin Chi injured himself. Soto has been forced to fight B/C level comp as well, and if Pac or JMM avoid the winner of Guzman/Soto, it will be a disgrace.

    Being avoided is one thing. But avoiding is another thing. If what you aresayingthatGuzmanis being avoided, he had been theWBO champ for many years already, yethe has not faced an top-ranked WBO figter in his rsume. the most were inthe 10-20th ranked.

    Believe me, I feel for Soto and how he's been avoided also. I am just stating that Guzman is a superior fighter to Soto and will be victorious providing that he steps up correctly.

    It will be a disgrace, but I fully expect it also.

    I loved the way he attacked and challenged Barrios right after the 1st round began: mano-a-mano, punch for punch.

    I hope that kind of Guzman will show up against Soto.

    I don't...because if he does, Soto might just catch the judges' eye with number of punches thrown and win a narrow UD/SD...I hope Guzman goes in there to win, not to show off...:good

    This is the best, exaggerated case, that I can make for a Soto victory:

    Joan Guzman is tough and macho and wants to show it. He likes to get hit just to show that it doesn't hurt him...This is how he loses rounds...watch R7 of Guzman v. Barrios...

    He doesn't box, preferring to brawl and go for the KO...but he doesn't KO them! Still, he keeps trying!

    He keeps that left hand so low and gets hit with the jab and with the right...doesn't move his head, for, after all, it doesn't hurt him!:roll:

    Soto will have a nice time using his right hook against Guzman...

    He will pull him into a brawl, Guzman will go for the stoppage, and Soto will outpoint him, by boxing...(outboxing the boxer who doesn't want to box)

    Did I mention Soto's great left hook? - he will have a field day with that, hitting Guzman, who will just grin back...but the judges won't care; they will point for Soto...

    Oh, yes...Soto's uppercut...it WILL land on Guzman, who again, will simply sit there to be hit, not caring...but it WILL hurt him...Left uppercut and right hook and Guzman is hurting!

    Against the ropes, Guzman is letting himself hit easily by Soto's left hook - he rarely protects the left side of his head, preferring to protect against bodyshots...

    While Guzman tries the left to the body, his back against the rope...Soto's right hook is going to get him...

    Soto does not get hit by Guzman's jab...he has good head movement and after avoiding the jab hits right back! He doesn't get hit by Guzman's telegraphed right and never by Guzman's uppercut - which never hits a top opponent...

    Soto does not take a break, whilst Guzman will have lapses of concentration...

    Soto is going to make Guzman pay for his cockiness...his style will score more points with the judges...

    This is what Soto will do to him, but better!

    The above is the best case scenario for Soto and the worst case scenario for Guzman...

    The best case scenario for Guzman and the worst for Soto involves Guzman using his speed and elite skill to outbox him very intelligently for round after round, with one or two KDes thrown in and a KO towards the end...

    But if he does that, and somehow intimidates Soto, that will help him get the mental edge, as he did against Barrios.

    Besides, that would be pure action! Imagine Guzzy's combo against Soto's accurate hooks and uppercuts.:D

    This fight should really get a lot of attention.

    I don't think it will be about mental edge, to be honest...Soto will expect Guzman to try to intimidate him. He will just box and not try to prove anything, if he wants to win. Guzman should do the same.

    I think Soto can and will do that, sticking to his game plan. I am not sure about Guzman's plan, however.

    Those of you who pick Soto with so much gusto, you DO realise that you are basically arguing either that Guzman was overrated, that he has a suspect temperament and cannot implement the gameplan well/makes the wrong strategic decisions in the ring,or both...don't you?

    Humberto sotos got this one in the bag, i think guzmans may wanna go toe to toe, and get stopped around about the 11 round, Humberto will be so accurate, guzmans right hands to low and he relies on his ins and outs,
