Jiminez is tough but he's not that good. He lost to Trejo and Huerta, both who are also tough but limited. Those 3 guys are all pretty much on the same level and that's not all that good. I like Gamboa but christ the overhyping of him on this forum is silly. :nono How about waiting until this guy actually beats someone who is B level before calling him the next great? :nut
although i'm a gamboa nuthugger...i'd have my doubts if this was to happen right away. Need to see more of King Gamboa!!
Depends on how many fights Gamboa has to build up to be a 12 round fighter. If he gets a few 12 round fights under his belt...I think he can take a fading Guzman into the latter stages of the fight when he's drained out and win a close decision on aggressiveness alone. If he's not yet properly ready to go 12 as a pro, Guzman wins this one going away.
By the end of 2008, all these guys will be running scared of Gamboa, The Guzman fight can happen but Guzman knows better than to fight Gamboa, the Pacquiao fight will never happen and talking about its just worthless, Gamboa will have beating 1 or 2 top 10 fighters by the start of 2009... and then it will be hard to find him any fights cause nobody would want to fight him.
Guzman beats Gamboa now. Gamboa has better skills but the ring experience would be enough for Guzman to beat Yuriorkis. In 1,5-2 years Gamboa beats Guzman.
Their styles actually have A LOT in common: upper body movement, counter-punch ability, and a few more things. Now, up until the 8th round I think it's a 50/50 fight. After that the guy with the better stamina takes it imo. :good
