Casamayor looked finished in 2007. The Santa Cruz fight left little room for doubt.

Considering his age, it's a bit unfair to say Casamayor has looked mediocre. The last time he looked mediocre was against Santa Cruz, who he clearly took very lightly. You can't knock his effort in his next three performances. Did he fight every minute of every round and exhibit the same reflexes he had in his SFW prime? No. How many guys in their late thirties do, though? He was a tough out for JMM and in the end got the job accomplished against lesser foes in Katsidis and Davis.

As for Guzman - well, I think he's a ***** for not making weight (and for the Arthur debacle...and the Campbell debacle...and for never getting in the ring with Katsidis himself like he was supposed to back in the day) - but he did just totally confound and humiliate one of the consensus best lightweights in the world.

Wasnt he winning the JMM fight before he got knocked out? I dont think he's that shot yet.

It was on pace to potentially be a majority draw, assuming for the sake of argument that they'd have split the 11th and 12th had he not been KOed. If either man won a decision, it was going to be close.

This doesn't seem like it should be a PPV. The first one wasn't and the guys were both on winning streaks!

how much is the purse? 5 dollars?

I don't really care about weigh ins anymore. Obviously GBP doesn't either.

The real lozer in all this. Nate Campbell and Ali Funeka

If not anything else, this is better than Guzman fighting another bum.
