Joan Guzman Vs Juan Manuel Marquez at 130

Guzman has more variety, better movement, faster, more athletic, better chin, younger and stronger and is as good defensively and packs as much punch.

Marquez, nobody calls this guy old to loose. He is a technical master.

 

marquez had some trouble with a slickster named chris john. guzman is one of those slick fighters and jmm could have trouble dealing with him. but i wouldn't say marquez can't win because of the heart he just demonstrated during his pacquiao fight.

 

At this point, I'd pick JMM.

 

JMM by close decision, he is the only guy at 130 I would pick over Guzman.

If its the same JMM that turned up the other night, JMM wide UD. Offensive arsenal is too much, equal speed and probably just as good defense without all the flash.

 

Marquez's speed is not equal he is slower, and Guzman has much better defence.

 

JMM still has something left on his arsenal, He has a tendecy to be aggressive more.
Though of course, its common that brawling against a real brawler won't do any good and it payed him a huge price.
Technically I'd pick Marquez beating Guzman by decision or even a KO, Marquez has some new arsenal that he proved last bout, It's an advantage against Guzman.

 

JMM was just a hair slower than Pac. Guz looks fast against fighters like Barios & Soto, JMM & Pac are 10* faster than those guys.
