Without a doubt, Guzman would destroy Pacquiao at 122 and that's why Pac's team never wanted to take the fight when Guzman was calling him out. The style disadvantage for Pac in this fight is so huge (especially when you consider how much more limited he was back then) that he would have maybe a 1% chance at best. At 122 Guzman had an iron chin (so forget a Pac KO), insane footspeed/handspeed, A+ reflexes, great power, great stamina/punch output, extremely accurate punches, great timing, and he was just an all around ATG H2H fighter there. He would make Pac look silly and he wouldn't even need to fight him safety first, because he could land on him at will and hurt him. 90% chance of a Guzman KO, over a 9% chance of a Guzman UD. No chance Pac would win this, sorry nuthuggers.

    This fight would be hilarious.

Guzmans reflexes would mean Pacman one real asset his speed, would essentially not exist. What then?

Guzman would outland Pacman 2-1, even if he fought in burst. Pacman is too predictable to beat Guzman. Guzman sees things coming in dimensions most of you cannot even comprehend.

Shut-out for Guzman, with the judges scoring it closer.

We never got a chance to see a 100% motivated/focused Guzman at 122 in a big fight. He wouldn't just be toying around with Pac in a fight of this magnitude back then, he would go for the stoppage. Do you really think Pac would last 12 rounds with Guzman? Pac has unbelievable heart and a great recovery rate, but he has gotten stunned by punches in the past and his skin cuts easily.

Guzman shutout, had no stamina problems back then and could keep pace for the full 12 and embarass Pac nasty.

Pac was less experienced and more 1 dimensional back then.

Guzman at 122 is beastly..no offense to the Pac-Fans.

    Joan on a cut stoppage.

So why are we comparing fighters in their past? Shouldn't we compare and let the fighters fight on what they achieved at the moment?

Surprising that Puga is all alone, because this is the part where all the pinoys jump in and take over

Can go either way for my opinion.

Pacquiao arsenal at 122 is his power, stamina, speed, chin and only a left handed.

Guzman arsenal at 122 is his technical skills, accuracy, stamina, speed

You guys shouldn't underrate his accomplishment. I would guess if they fight today, I'd choose Pacquiao over Guzman. So we can't and shouldn't compare their past weights or divisions. A fighter can change his training and arsenals before fight night.

pac was not yet a well-rounded fighter at 122 compared to know. but at this weight, he still has that fire and he demolishes opponents. it's too foolish to say that guzman will just run over pac. people are underrating pac here just like they underrate him in the ledwaba and barrera fights back then.

Guzman on points... Joan was a monster down there and at his absolute best and PacMan became real stong physically after he stepped up in weight...

Guzman UD and definitely NO PACMAN BY KO, on the scorecards maybe, but at 122 Guzman not only had speed and skills but great power as well to back PacMan up... good chins, so 12 round fight and my pick is Joan... how pity he couldn't bring that power up to the SFW class...
