He does indeed sound like the alpha male, with his eight children from Dominican super models. He better find a way to pay for those soon though, or he will have little alphas growing older and looking for him.

I laughed at prime for prime fantasy.

Dude their is nothing like that in boxing. Any boxer can show their full potential anytime they want. It's up to them to try and train.

You call Marquez old and past prime? wow your disgracing Marquez that badly? I see Marquez being his own self as usual against his last bout. He did great but came out short. That what I'm saying full potential. Age doesn't matter. Prime for Prime is a stupid term.

Give up Fantasy, and be on the reality.

Dominican super models make more than him and just because he's such a physical dynamo, they actually pay him child support.:hey

Then they come to him when they need a little frustration relief.

Realistically, we should change our politics and stop obese people from breeding and then breed out the top intellects and top physical phenoms, we could use Joan for like 50 kids and imagine the genetics....

If he wasn't such a high risk/low reward, he'd have some great wins by now and would be a marque name, a lot of people like him despite having less power at 130.

More people appreciate TRUE boxers, I don't mean runners like Spinks, I mean guys who stand in front of you, counter and make you miss with slick moves, than people realise. It's the runner types that get on people's nerves and rightfully so, we want to see a ****ing fight.

Joan and Mijares are slick and have lesser than average power, but they also go out of their way to really fight, while using good defence and impressive boxing skills.

This Pac is improved in the area of being more versitile, yet he isn't the animal he was at 122lbs. His power is not as prolific and his energy level is dropping from fight to fight. He is also a known entity that fighters train their asses off for in remote mountains, versus the unknown fighter he was then.

Guzman doesn't in my eyes has some of the attributes of Marquez, but not the immaculate timing, or ability to measure another fighters cadence and become a transfixed countering machine with combinations to the head and body for 12 full rounds. I see Guzman's conentration fade late in fights, and he loses some of the dimensions that improve the likelihood of a win against a fighter with Pac's attrition.

Guzman didn't fight in spurts the way he does now at 130 back then. You're gonna compare Guzman's punches to Valero's? :rofl His punches are wide, but they come from very awkward angles and come extremely fast and are PRECISE. Looping punches work to your advantage when rare fighters are able to throw them with accuracy and great timing

Guzman wouldn't need to run. He would need to set Pac up to land counters on him. And it wouldn't be hard. And yes, Pac's left could land. So what? Joan could take it the few times it lands.

Barrera, Morales, and Marquez don't have the same style as Guzman nor the same reflexes/speed. Marquez was able to outbox Pacquiao without a lot of trouble for the majority of both of their fights. And this was a past-prime Marquez against an improved Pac who has a much shakier chin than Guzman. Morales was able to outbox Pac to a win when he was way past his prime. How did he do that against the Pac terror? He just stuck to a plan and outboxed him. Barrera, just last year, way past his prime was able to take advantage of Pac's footwork/defensive flaws, but because of his fading reflexes/speed and low punch output, he couldn't win.

At 122, Guzman was in his prime and he had the perfect style to beat Pacquiao. A much better style to beat him than the past prime MAB/Morales/JMM trio. Pacquiao was made for him at that weight.. he wanted the fight and called Pac out but Pac's team clearly didn't want to take the risk. Even now they don't want to take the risk against an older Guzman at 130. I pray to the boxing gods that we get to see this fight, but I doubt it will ever happen. Guzman would own Pacquiao.

He is a good poster and his counter arguement is valid. I don't agree with him in this matchup, but there are legitimate reasons for him to follow this line of thinking. And to his credit, he is one of only a few posters in here giving his analysis.

Well it's up to Pac's team to make it a reality and since they never will, Guzman UD12 Pacquiao = fact.
