He had a bad injury (some kind of eye problem I believe) during the inactive period and then he was cleared to fight in a big DR match between him and Guzman. A few years after that he was shot and killed by someone because of a dumb situation involving someone disrespecting someone else's girlfriend.

i'm proud that there are people who can write like you especially for pac. i just got confused with the purpose of your other threads, especially the one about pac's build. most people thought that you are indirectly suggesting that pac could be on juice. i admit i got irritated by that. but in the end you explained it well and no malice was intended. i especially like your thread "the evolution of manny pacquiao." that was well thought and cleverly written. a good read for any boxing fans.

i wouldn't mind a long and healthy debate as long as the purpose is clear. honestly, i enjoy reading your conversations with divac. i can learn more about boxing just by reading it.

yeah i know. i some how feel bad about telling it to him. i feel terrible now.

 

i know the feeling. the amount of hate here is really amazing. it's like you cannot give props to two or more fighters at the same time. but to be fair, it's not only pac that is hated on here. floyd, hatton, wlad and others have their fair share of detractors. well, this site would not be as lively if everyone just gets along with every point.

 

No...that part isn't true. He may hate Pacquiao (or maybe he hates Johnco lol) but as far as Guzman goes, he just likes fighters like that. Check out his posts about fighters....it's a trend.

 

amsterdam is quite knowledgeable. i believe he is an expert when it comes to betting and seriously studies tons of boxing tapes. but he has the penchant to underrate (rule out) boxers that are not on his elite list that he calls "gods." he have other posters that believes in his dogmas. he is quite charismatic here.

None of the big Guzman fans here actually hate Pacquiao. We hate his blind nuthuggers (johnco/PacDBest), but I don't think anyone can seriously hate Pac as a fighter. He has given us amazing fights over the years and has always showed great heart/resiliency/elite offense against top fighters. He is a top 100 ATG now.. nobody denies that.

As for me, many Pac fans here think I hate him, but I have never disliked him at all or talked **** about him. Because of some of his dellusional fans, I really want to see him lose now, but I've always loved to watch him and cheered for him when he wasn't fighting my favorites. Just because I'm realistic about his limitations and think Guzman would dominate him doesn't mean I dislike him.

Pac fans have disrespected and underrated Guzman 10X worse than the few Guzman fans have to Pac.
