This fight should be a great fight, its got everything bar money, the titles are on the line, you've got the big guy and the small guy, the slick boxer and the puncher.

Now I expect Guzman to have the toughest fight of his carreer, the result of the fight will come down to if nate makes his height an advantage or a disadvantage. the key to nate winning the fight is continuously landing on Guzman, not margarito style but just enough to always keep guzman aware of the power he posesses, more Joshua Clottley style. However, I rank guzman's defencive abilities along with the likes of Hopkins and Mayweather, he can see punches coming before they have even been thrown, When Guzman decides to cover and bounce on the ropes, he begins to get inside the mind of his opponents, when he is on the ropes it will be difficult for nate to land a shot, and it all normally ends with a guzman head shot which suprises everyone and most importantly it will get into nate campbell and the judges heads.

If nate is to win he will have to establish his jab and an early lead because if he doesn't guzman like always will finish well, with the jab I can't see it being a success as guzman is to slick and he will counter as nate looks to come in.

    Guzman 116-112

    What do you think?

I think its almost a 50/50 fight. I tihnk Guzman will win it close maybe 115-113 on most cards but that being on Campbell's turf he will get the nod. There will be some close rounds and some people will say Nate won, but most will say Guz won

I do have some money on Campbell, as it was 2/1 odds and i like those odds for Nate

I'm totally on the 'Galaxxy Warrior's bandwagon, but it's not gonna' be an easy fight for him to win.

Even though I don't dig his style, you gotta' hand it to Guzman in terms of the Roy Jones/PBF way of gettin' it done. Against Soto he sure looked like he has it down.

I think Nate will need to cut off the ring as much as he can and land some good body shots (the earlier the better) so as to weaken Guzman's legs and make him slow in the later rounds. Nate throws monster body shots but cutting off the ring may be hard to do, especially early on. If Campbell is in really good physical shape I think he'll do it, but if he doesn't have the stamina, he'll probably lose a decision. If he's in shape and executes, Nate Campbell by late KO or TKO.

i don't see it as being that cut and dried

guzman can be a slick boxer but at many of his fights at the lower weight classes he preferred to slug it out (the barrios fight is a great example of this).... campbell is a puncher, no question, but he can also box, as a relatively unexperienced fighter, he took casamayor the distance and could easily have won a decision if he was the more well-known fighter

i think the conventional wisdom is as you say, guzman outboxes nate for 12 rounds and wins a close but relatively clear decision... i really want nate to win, however, so i'm gonna go for the type of fight that no one thinks will actually break out, not exactly a pier 6 brawl but a tactical slugfest with heavy punches landed on both sides and it being quite clear at the end, physically speaking, who is the winner (nate) and who is the loser (joan)

    go galaxxy warrior

I think you'll see four or five rounds of a great fight, and then it will become a snoozer once Guzman starts to pull away, kinda like Guzman-Soto. Nate's had problems with quicker fighters in the past, so he's going to try to smother Guzman on the inside to negate his quickness. Guzman will still be able to avoid most of those shots and frustrate Campbell, countering with decent shots and the occasional meaningless flurry, a la Mayweather/Hatton. As time wears on, Campbell will see that isn't working and try to start using his length to box on the outside, but Guzman's too quick for that, will get on his bike, and potshot his way to a relatively easy victory, while taking a few rounds off that Campbell will win. I agree with a 116-112 Guzman final score, but it will look a lot more like a typical Guzman fight than the first poster is stating.

    Co sign Brickhaus response.

if nate can keep up his workrate after guzmans flurry of love taps he might be able to corner guzman when he's gassed out. personally a good amount of hits to guzman stomach and side ribs would do alot of damage. I just dont like his bending below the waist bull **** which makes every blow look illegal

I see Campbell imposing his will and being the aggressor this fight ... now Guzman would move but at some point in time he's going to have to fight and when he does he will get knocked out.

Campbell is the bigger guy naturally and Guzman has lost some power as he has moved up in weight. Guzman often times brawls and has always been hit alot ... he also has suspect defense.

    Campbell TKO late rounds
