With Guzman moving up to 135 and vacating his WBO strap, his team has been informed that the WBO will rank him at #1. I don't know if they'll actually do this with Casa, Kahn, and Peterson up on the list. Guzman can't find anybody to fight him, Campbell can't find anyone either. anybody think this fight can be made, and who wins?
I woudn't be surprised if they could come to an agreement. Both seem to be the type of fighters who care more about giving the public the fights they want to see. They aren't caught up in their own ego's or demand ridiculous amounts of money. If Guzman doesn't have to drain as much to make 135, it could improve his stamina. But at the same time, the added weight could potentially slow his reflexes, speed, and movement a bit. I'd actually go with Guzman by a close decision, but if Campbell can stay on top of him, he's got a very good chance to outmuscle him. So my official pick as of now: Guzman close UD.
Campbell will not defend his championship. he will lose it the first run out. IMO. Guzman UD (OR WHOEVER HIS OPPONENT IS THAT NIGHT)
At some point somethings got to give with Guzman. The man was a beast at 122, awesome at 126, extremely quick but lacking power at 130. Not sure how he goes against a physical guy like Nate at 135 but I suppose it wont be to different to his 130 form seeing he weighs so much come fight time. Im looking forward to see how he goes there.
nate will win a UD he's the much harder puncher and he's not much slower than guzman ...he's a better inside fighter than guzman too and posesses the stronger straight right and better body attack....nates jab is more punishing than Guzman's too... The only thing guzman has is greater footspeed
this is a fight that will legitimize guzman in my eyes if he impresses its a great fight to boost the profile of both fighters as long as neither gets obliterated
