Any chance she pulls a Ronda after UFC 231?

Its weird how MMA fighters are so gravitated toward pro wrestling. Its weird because pro wrestling has a huge stigma in boxing. Remember how shameful Mountain Rivera was when he had to turn to wrestling to pay his bills in Requiem for a Heavyweight. It was also a huge fall from grace when Joe Louis and other fighters turned to scripted combat after retirement.

BJJ also has historically had a negative view of pro-wrestling. Helio and Carlos Gracie essentially disowned one of their brothers (either George or Gaston) for participating in fixed catch wrestling bouts. Later Helio kicked one of his black belts, Waldimar Santana out of their school for wrasslin' and even fought and was kayoed by Santana before Carlson Gracie fought Santana. And of course Royce and Rickson both had their own feuds with Yoji Anjo and Takada, both guys who straddled the No Holds Barred/Pro Wrestling divide.

It just seems like MMA is a half-sibling of pro-wrestling and boxing. This just my thoughts generally and has little to do with the subject of the thread. I think Joanna has the athletic ability and personality to be a decent hit with pro-wrestling, but unlike Ronda, she doesn't have quite that level of star power going in.

The other brunette looks like Gezary Matuda, who is a black belt under the legendary Ricardo Liborio. Anyone with even a passing interest in grappling should look up Gezary's clips on YT. She has one of the most violent highlight reels of anyone in BJJ.

Funny how a pro-wrestler called kaz sakuraba ran through that Gracie family.

Even helio got beat by kimura who was a pro-wrestler.

Definitely is kinda strange seeing more MMA fighters going to WWE. MMA and pro-wrestling were always looked @ as one of the same in Japan with just different rules so seeing fighters and pro wrestlers compete in opposite sports was never really a big deal and more of a natural thing to do.

Totally different from the states. That joke stigma aimed at Japanese pro-wrestling doesn't exist. There would have never been MMA in Japan without pro wrestling
