I posted a few days ago but it didn't register.
Given styles, a 73-74 Bugner would have, possibly, copped a UD over Jerry given his size, good jab, right hand (no left hook, typical Euro prototype). Styles make fights and Joe could have prevailed, but Jerry has all the big wins earlier on and Bugner NEVER beat a top contender...EVER!
    Forget the 80's comeback BS.
Frazier? 6 months after being destroyed? Maybe Bugner's finest moment but I can't give kudos to a fighter who's best performance is in a LOSING effort.
**** on Bugner...'never has so little been done with so much talent.
Fought only to survive in his Khuala Lampur bout with Ali in 75. No 'I want to take the title' grit, NONE.
Again, **** on this underachieving **** of crap. Why so many bring him up as a legit contender/champion is beyond me? My $0.02

I know of Bugner beating at least 3 top ten ranked guys , If you count Jurgen Blin, and Jimmy Ellis (still in WBA top ten vs Bugner) they other was 6th Ranked Henry Cooper 1971.
And if you go by this Jerry beats him ez, Jerry had a better common opponent record , And Yank Durham was adamant, about Only way to beat Quarry was throw Combinations, Bugner is not in that category, sure his jab might have gave Jerry fits i'd say Jerry takes 8 0utta 12 rounds in London 1973. With Gil Clancy & Howie Albert in the corner.

    grettings ronny!
    with all due respect.
    Blin!!! Are you serious?
    Ellis? WELL past prime.
Cooper? The old man (37-38?) warred with Bugner and many still to this day say he copped a close one against the youngster.
    My $0.02
    Blessings...
