How does Bugner do vs Holmes's opposition from 77-85? Shavers Norton (1978 version) Weaver Cooney Bonecrusher Berbick Witherspoon (15-0 version) Williams
He lost to Shavers, but was able to beat Smith in the 90s, lol. I don't think he's got an honest chance against anybody here. I'm sure he'll get across the street safely on the way to the fight, but that's about it.
Cooney is a tough one to calculate in Bugner's favor. Joe survived against Lyle only to the lose the decision, and though pretty resilient apart from the losses to Frazier and Shavers, he tends to lose against active, aggressive fighters. If he doesn't get knocked out, he could get cut, or worn down to where he retires in his corner. As for Williams, I just don't see any chances for him, this would likely be harder than Cooney. The Truth works that jab for 12 and Bugner gets to see the decision through puffed up eyes.
