These people bringing up Joe looking bad against Hopkins as their justification for why Jones will win are delusional

How did Tarver look against Hopkins? Oh that's right, absolutely terrible, and he got dropped too, and Hopkins hurt him repeatedly, unlike Joe

Now how did Tarver look against Jones in their last two fights? Oh that's right, he knocked him out cold, then easily won a decision the second time after nearly knocking him out again but being too exhausted to finish the job

These people picking Jones are using some of the most nonsensical logic I've ever seen. "Oh Joe looked like crap when he WON against Hopkins, Jones will take him easily". Wake up. Jones was KTFO and soundly beaten by someone who looked 20 times worse than Joe did against Hopkins

yes it is, any country who self-proclaims themselves as ''the mecca of boxing'' then cant even sell 20,000+ tickets is delusional!

again where's the proof that jones ducked calzaghe. calzaghe and his people didn't want to risk the cash cow at jones's peak, because i'm sure even they knew calzaghe would be a big underdog.

as to present day rjj v calzaghe: first i highly doubt calzaghe will "murder" him as earlier posts suggests. next, the main thing is that old jones two real losses were brutal ko's to guys that can "crack" and while rjj may or might not have been in poor health. Joe's got no one punch power and RJJ is healthy (if that is a legit excuse).

Also, obviously rjj's overall speed seems down, but his handspeed is still pretty solid even tho he now throws less. roy will land flurries on cal who will be doing his usual windmill attack. roy's got enough strength and athletecism to put forth a reasonable D against calzaghe and because jones will land the harder shots, this will be no walk over for calzaghe by any stretch. I could definitely see roy beating cal.

read the interview from ther other day '' I didnt want to fight Joe'' people used to say Joe ducked the big fights, he wanted to fight Bernard, Bernard bottled it, he wanted to fight Roy, Roy didnt want it as the risk was too high.

well if he said that, allright. but i'm sure the feeling was mutual, but calz will likely never admit such.

So this is ducking? I bet Calzaghe never wanted to leave UK to fight Roy and Roy wouldn't leave US to fight Calzaghe since by the time who the **** was Calzaghe? It should have been Calzaghe coming to US and forcing a fight, but he knew he would get his ass kicked so I don't blame him for staying in UK to fight lesser opponents.

why should Calzaghe fight Jones in the US now? Cazlaghe is the man, Calzaghe has the following, and the UK is home of boxing!

I was talking about the time when Roy was prime, you know like 10 or more year back when no one knew who the **** was Calzaghe. But yeah Calzaghe can demand to make the fight in Wales if he wanted to since he is the champion right now, even Jones said that he wanted to fight in Wales.
