This makes me laugh...age has **** all to do with it, hopkins prime was undoubtably late on in his career..probably 01-05.

Joes we'll never know because he was never tested when he was younger but we can safely assume it wasnt at the age of 36 when he fought Hopkins. Both were probably past their best (maybe bhop moreso) but Joe stepped up in weight, came across the sea and beat him. Its a legitimate win taht he deserves full credit for (its just a shame there arent too many more!).

I like Calzaghe, very good boxer, I'm just disappointed that he didn't fight Dawson.

I would pick Calzaghe in his prime to beat Eubank, Benn, Watson, all in their primes. Calzaghe imo is the greatest British supermiddleweight.

I would pick prime eubank to destroy prime calzaghe....its not even close...

benn is a real 50/50 because, lets face it calzaghe NEVER had world class power.....and benn if he conected could put Joe to sleep.....

I would favor calzaghe over watson

Thats interesting considering Watson very nearly beat Eubank in their first encounter and actually beat Benn. Styles make fights though eh ?

calzaghe gets almost all of his wins by outworking guys......benn eubank is a classic battle imo, something Joe only dreams about....

Jeff I think all 3 could have beat Calzaghe as could Collins. Saying that though I think Calzaghe could have beat Eubank, Watson and Collins. Thats the problem though in my opinion with Calzaghe he had a good chance to have beaten some very good competition IN THEIR PRIME at both domestic and wolrd level but bottled it. Shame he didn't have as much belief as his gobshite dad did

i agree mate, i really dont know what joe's problem was....I do beleive though if he tested himself and went right over to the states somebody hangs atleast 2 L's on him....and he and hatton would be in the same boat.....but hatton will be **** on and calzaghe glorified which i find is a bit of ****....but oh well

Yeah dont really like either of them but at least Hatton had the balls to go over there early and did all he could for the big fights.
