He achieved more at 168 than anyone else in History, not that it's a historically significant division....but still, his reign is not to be taken lightly... on pure legacy, he did more at 168 than anyone else, but H2H... Prime RJJ at 168 was probably better

Agreed. I can't be bothered explaining why again, but here is the thread I did a while ago.

RJJ is the only one who comes close in terms of H2H and he got battered by Calzaghe in his home country.

Joe is the No1 ATG at SMW ...

but then, I'm probably like the No.26 ATG SMW even though I've never actually fought a pro SMW fight.

A completely shot RJJ,which Calzaghe knew because he admitted it in his autobiography.

You're right about the supermiddleweight thing,my mistake. But just because Bernard beat an overrated Kelly Pavlik who was fighting 10 pounds above his natural weight anyway, just doesn't put him close to prime.Years before he lost to Calzaghe,Hopkins lost 2 decisions to Jermaine Taylor.

Don't think anyone will beat his record. Best SM ever. This day in age, most fighters move up to look for better and bigger challenges. Not too many stay at a weight devision anymore. Only 3 recent fighters I can remember that stayed at one weight to hold up the division. Callzaghe, hopkins and Pong(something).

A better question is whether he would be top 25 at the 161 - 175 weight range, and I think you can make a pretty decent argument that he is.

He's the Number 1 Super-Middleweight off all time.
