Joe is the current WBO, WBA, WBC Super Middleweight Champion and the Ring Light Heavyweight Champion. He also a former British and IBF Super Middleweight Champion and is currently the longest reigning Champion in any weight class. He has an unbeaten 45-0 record and has wins over Mitchell, Hopkins, Lacy, Kessler and Eubank.

But he isn't American, and therefore he doesn't deserve any respect, but he does deserve being called Calsappy, Calfaggy etc by people who really should grow up and act their age instead of embarrassing themselves on a daily basis with bias rants about Mr Joe Calzaghe.

Any man who fights for a living deserves respect. I am thinking a lot of so called fans just don't understand or respect what it takes to be a fighter, good or bad.

Exactly, fighters deserve respect, especially when they have some pretty serious achivements to their name. They risk getting seriously hurt everytime they step in the ring, the amount of dedication and training it takes (unless you're Ricardo Mayogra or James Toney - then you can just sit back with a cigar flavoured cheesebuger) to be a top class fighter is immense. Joe Calzaghe deserves respect, and if someone can't give that, then that person don't deserve the time of day, IMO.

I agree, and the same with the sickening fan boy British stuff that crawls all over every post about Calzaghe.

Some middle ground objective posting would be nice once in a while from both parties.

Warren has protected him for years. He is now fighting guys who are way past their primes. Should of fought them years ago. The problem is because most of his fights have been in england.
