Just because your knew to this board doesnt mean you dont know fa about boxing. Theres probably people out there who dont use a boxing forum who know alot more about boxing than some people on here with 10,000 posts. Thats just a stupid comment. People dont join esb to become boxing fans, they already are.

Having said that I disagree with the ts. I think Calzaghe fights tend to be exciting even if they are often one-sided. Im not a hater of Williams either.

 

Hopkins must hold the title for most boring.
That guy has stunk out some arenas in his time.

 

There's nothing wrong with finding these guys boring. It's your opinion and I can see where your coming from although I don't mind watching Calzaghe/Williams.

I reckon both Williams and Calzaghe can hit much harder if they so wish, but the problem is that it's such an effective style. It's very hard for a judge not to score a round for guys that throw so many punches while the other fighter just looks at him waiting for an opening.

As far as the boring thing goes, take a look at Holyfield-Valuev or Wlad-Ibragimov. Man those were ****ing boring!

 

There's a poll on here about that fight and it's around 50-50 at the moment. Williams is a perfectly legit pick as a winner of that fight. Have you ever seen Williams in action?

i wouldn't say they will ever have a fight of the year canditate but they rae not the most boring IMO...kind of an interesting style

 

One decent fight doesnt make good pretty much a whole career that consists of holding and butting.

 

calzaghe puts on a good show...the only fight he looked boring in was BHOP cuz he is boring.....JC kessler was good, JC lacy was good and a boxing lesson

 

Some young kid not appreciating the sweet science and is only intrested in a knockout
