Mikey looked a little slow at times against a defensive Burgos

Compare that to Calzaghe against Kessler,

Kellerman: Calzaghe weathered the storm, and I don't know if Kessler believes he can win this fight any more

Manny Stewart: Well, I think Kesslers fightin a very good fight. He's just in there with a phenomenal fighting machine. Calzaghe is in there in a Zone by himself

Many fighters wish they had the unique skill set that Joe had. What in the world does that have to do with Mikey Garcia?

Why would Garcia want to wait another 9 years before he won a major world title like Joe - hes already done it. I am sure Mikey doesn't want to be like Joe at all and wait nearly a decade to do that.

I think what tyou mean is that Joe must wish he was good enough to win a major title or two like Mikey has done so young.

to imitate joe cal, mikey would have drop his major world title and go win the WBU or WBF one, something minor equivalent to what the WBO title was in the mid90s, and then defend it 20 times.

seems like a lot of cafuffle having to drop down a level or two even just to imitate joe. cant see mikey doing it, he will stick with his proper world title.

theres just no sense in dropping down a level for mikey, its a really stupid thing to suggest he would want to act like joe did, you are asking mikey to lower his standards to effectively a national level.
