You make a good pernt here ( point )...
Problem for Joe is that he is fighting an old boxer, and if he didn't fight Hopkins, he's ducking him....Hopkins can rightfully use the age excuse, but Joe has no choice...and if Hopkins wins or draws, Joe is gonna be called exposed....Oh well :hi:

We will never know. It's a shame he wasted so much of his career...I suppose that in itself sort of answers the question.

 Trinidad? He would have got the crap kicked out of him. How would Tito have won? **** sake he is a welterweight.

His power would be negated by Cazaghe's chin and reflex's and he would get picked apart.

    Jones would beat Joe.

An argument can be made for Hopkins but I disagree, but Tito your having a laugh :good

    :huh

What? Trinidad was shown to be limited as a boxer by: De La Hoya(if he hand not ran the last 4 he would have won); Hopkins killed him with boxing; Winky Schooled him.

What does Tito do better than Joe Calzaghe. Bar power?

Taylor and Miranda have just been KO'd. Pavlik is rematching Taylor. You think he would get any credit for beating Miranda?

I agree that Calzaghe should have went after challenges earlier. But he is now. Hopkins is the lineal Light Heavyweight Champ. If/when he beats Hopkins he should fight Dawson.

All he needs is speed and power? He is slower than Calzaghe. So that would not matter. Also how the hell do you analyse match ups? How would he beat Calzaghe? Tito has never been above 160. He is going to get his ass kicked from a shell of what used to be Roy Jones Jr.

Tell me how. Your arguments so far have been somewhat ****. :good

    Your boxing knowleage is limited.

Hopkins just beat Winky. Why would he fight the loser?

Tell you what lets make a poll? Tito Trindad vs Joe Calzaghe at 168 :good

Mayorga is easy to hit Calzaghe is not. Trinidad would get shut out.

In recent history I think RJJ, Toney, Prime Eubank, Prime Hopkins, maybe Nigel Benn could have all beat him for a start, let alone boxers from entire boxing history.

Roy Jones beats him, probably James Toney as well.

And even though the Super Middleweight division has only been around since the 1980s, many fighters have weighed around that area.

Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Jake LaMotta, Lloyd Marshall, Holman Williams, Billy Conn, Jimmy Bivins, etc...

Actually I think the creation of the super middle weight division was part of Frank Warren's master scheme for Joe Calzaghe. His goal was to to create a safe Haven for him, a place where shitty boxers would make their home and sometimes great boxers would pass through (ROY jONES) just to give it an aura of legitimacy. Yes Warren has managed the perfect career indeed even creating a division for his little slappy great white hope

PS TFFP its been a while since you made a thread that has pissed anyone off

Oh wait this is an old thread, never mind

I don't think Calzaghe would beat Bute right now...sad for boxing that there is not more money on the table for this fight...
