why was he meant to be facing Tarver in 04?
Also how could he have faced Tarver in 04 when Tarver was tied up to bigger LHW fights in 04?

He made a career fighting bartenders so it's only reasonable to host those fights in school dinner halls and clubs.

Why didn't he do that? Why did he continue to fight potato peelers instead?

Why did he wait till he was so called- shot , bloated and brittle handed , before he moved up , where he fought two guys years and years p ast their sell by date and threw in the towel before facing the other prime LHW's?

I cant answer for others, but know if Calzaghe had of gone up then, he wouldnt have cleaned up at SMW like he did and instead beat the fighter who schooled Tarver.
Still you havent answered how he was supposed to fight Tarver in 04, when tarver was tied into other fights

True, though once again that was after Ottke had already beaten Tate.

He was also meant to fight Vanderpool in 99 on the undercard of De La Hoya/Tito but pulled out due to an injury. Injuries really plagued Calzaghe throughout his career. I find the whole him never having fought outside of the UK meaningless, fights in the US at that point would have been no better than facing the best in Europe.

I thought it was supposed to be the comebacking Collins on the De la Hoya/tito undercard, but could be wrong.
I dont disagree with what you wrote really.

Calzaghe and ottke had 6 common opponents and each fought 3 before the other
