However, this isn't the same Calzaghe that we saw in his prime either. Jones put up a spirited display for his age and I though the first few rounds were great to watch. We had knockdowns and plenty of showboating to boot. Calzaghe proved again that he can adapt and he put on a display for his fans - one of the reasons behind this fight. :good

Seriously, give Calslappy the credit he deserves, yes Roy Jones would have beaten him in his prime but accept it he's a great fighter

True Calzaghe will just never be accepted by some i feel.I get the feeling some people are still bitter over how badly he beat Lacy with Lacy at the time being the next big US superstar of boxing.

No one said he was not a great fighter , but to call this fight a major victory is pathetic.

Ah pit.. You know the europeans dwell on mediocre accomplishments. Jones has been completely shot for a long time. He was not even a top ten light heavyweight until about 2 weeks before the fight was announced(HBO). Jones got out worked and had the most ******ed gameplan known to man. All Joe had to do is slap him upside his head and stay out of range. That is not THE Roy Jones junior. Tarver beat him twice and knocked him out. Glen Johnson pummeled him worse than Calzaghe and knocked Jones out. Calzaghe just worked him over. I will say that Calzaghe is better than Jones past his peak but Jones is far better during his peak. And nobody can tell me that Jones has not been fighting for the money. B/c there was no god damn reason for him to fight Tito and call out ODH..lol after his last fight. PAYCHECK.
