WTF are you talking about now? What is the NAME OF THE GAME if you don't mind.

Getting pissed at Capfund doesn't change the fact that Joe made himself look pretty ridiculous with a lot of statements lately. Don't get mad at fans....look at who's saying it FF'S.

By the looks of it - he will face both. If Pavlik can generate money and add to his legacy its okay in his book. I understand that Calzaghe don't care about anything, but those two things anymore. He is old - so he is excused - and so is every other old man.

Yeah, but if you favor Calzaghe over Pavlik, then his age has nothing to do with it unless you feel Calzaghe will take the beating of his life and will never be the same.

By the way, as I previously said, Calzaghe is a great fighter, but like Mayweather he is a blatant ducker.

The name of the game is people trashtalk to build themselves up, and then when they take the fight they build it up - whats not to get?

I am not pissed at all at Capfunds - I thoroughly enjoy him - he can give and take stuff.

This is getting so old. I know you read the threads I post in. Months ago HBO gave Arum a January date for Pav/AA. They wouldn't move it up.

True, and I give him credit for that, but if he didn't fight Lacy he would never hear the end of it.

And how long did it take for them to put together the Kessler-Calzaghe fight?

I will give it to Joe though, he may be hesitant to take fights for whatever reason, but when he finally does get around to fighting them, he puts on a clinic...

...with the exception of Hopkins of course, but I'll give him a pass on that one since it was obvious that Hopkins pulled a ***** move.

He hasn't fought enough heavy hitters to be punch drunk and he isn't old enough to be senile. If you want to let him spout **** and not back it up, that is up to you. Don't expect the rest of him to get a pass on that account.

I still feel that Calzaghe is a great fighter - to me he is prime. Unfortunately I have no idea what 10+ years of fights does to a man. Since he feels he is on his way out - I find it okay he only wants to generate money.

PBF was the p4p no 1, and to me that is a responsibility to prove oneself - unfortunately he always took the road of least resistance.

I give kudos for JC for facing Lacy and Kessler. I really thought Kessler would thrash him, and that he ducked him for 3 years.

You think Joe c was trash talking him to get a fight? Dude.....Jones practically begged for it. :huh

You just don't like the fact that Joe C made himself sound bad and are now defending him for some odd reason.

He sure as hell became interested when the money got put on the table.

Every boxer does this ****. If the money is right they take it all back. No one is infallible. At his age Calzaghe is looking to be financially secure, not making defenses.

When a boxer is young, I expect him to defend his title, to fight the best guys out there, but when you have been fighting since you were 20, and have had a lot of fights, and your 35+, fighting up and comers is not worth it to you. You want to fight some big names and be financially set.

Calzaghe vs Pavlik was an intriguing fight, but a pointless one. Pavlik is in his prime, Calzaghe isnt, and they were not even fighting in the same weight class.

Calzaghe is going to make a lot of money fighting Jones, just as Jones is. The fight doesnt really mean anything for the division, both guys are on the outs, but it will be a big fight for both of them with too old lions and people should get their moneys worth.

In boxing, when you are like those guys and have been a long time champion and can still fight at a high level, when you have defended your title 20+ times (bums or not, thats still no easy feat), you earn the right to pick and choose who you want tot fight.
