As a Calzaghe fan i say Joe put away the blow and comeback and see if you can do it, and if not enjoy your retirement

    Exactly.
Slowmo 34 year old frochovski hasn't got anything going for him apart from cheeen.

Beating him to win the "super 3" cup don't mean ****.

These Ward fans have such a Double Standard.

In 2008 when Joe fought Hopkins Joe was 37 and less than a year from retirement.
They state Hopkins is Old and washed up cause Joe beat him yet when he beat Jean Pascal this year where was the washed up talk. Now 3 years since his match up with Joe (when he was old and washed up), Ward fighting Hopkins would be a superior Win?
    HELLO MC FLY
I beleive it would be and ugly fight for the first 2 rounds then Joe would adapt find his rythymn and slap the **** out of ward for 5 more rounds till the stop the fight.
Ward posses nothing remotely near the experience/skill of Hopkins to trouble Calzaghe.
2 of Wards wins in the Super 6 are over competition that Joe beat 4 years agao when they were all in the Primes (Bika, Kesseler) Who Ward fans call great wins yet they were Old when Calzaghe fought them .
    HELLO MC FLY
Ward is still a work in Progress if he can get by BUTE and Hopkins then i will take a better look at him as a fighter, till then the jury is still out

I try to to be polite most of the time but I am sorry to say you dont know what you are on about. You should learn more about the issue before you post again.

Wards best wins are against Kessler and Froch. Joe already defeated Kessler and Froch is no better than Omar Sheika who Joe TKO'd in his prime. (Froch struggled against old man Johnson to land a shot against Ward, while Sheika struggled against a young one to land a shot against Calzaghe. Unless you are trolling you should be able to see that the comparasion makes sense.)

Apart from that Ward has Bika, and Calzageh already defeated a fresher version. Ward also have AA, who is inferior compared to Lazy, at least as a SMW. Calzaghe also have Eubank who was past his best, but still could perform very well at a world level.

I have a massive respect for Wards achievements. I think he has a good chance to become equal to JC and perhaps even might eclipse him. But the whole idea that Ward is eager to fight opponents in their prime and JC never did has nothing with reality to do, neither the idea that JC's SD against Hopkins is what best defines his career.

Joe would slap him so hard and fast he'd wish he's never been ressurected.

Dumbest statement of the year !! Sheika was never a champ ! WOW:patsch

GTFOH, you just disagree with my opinion, don't act like you have any more knowledge on the subject than anyone here. JC's resume is as thin as rice paper, you're just too much of a fanboy to acknowledge.

They were both easy work for Ward, what's your point?

First, your sentence structure is terrible, work on that. Second you're comparing Omar Sheika to Carl Froch??!! Are you ****ing mad? Maybe you should actually put the pipe down and watch some boxing. And anyway, like in half of his fights, Joe got an early stoppage against the bum Sheika by the hometown ref WHILE the opponent is punching back!, S.O.P. (standard operating procedure)

You're making comparisons that only hold up in your opinion. Abraham compared to Lacy?? Dude, maybe you should stop with the fantasy **** and look at facts from now on.

The FACT is, JC is always going to have an asterisk next to his name due to his competition and when he fought them. Ward is ALREADY past Calzaghe in that respect. Get over it.

You dont prove a point by screaming fanboy. Your post remains rubbish. If you disagree, bring some argumentation.

Omar Sheika disposed of a young Johnson. Froch struggled to dispose of an old one. Go figure.

Spitting general Calzaghe hate means little in the discussion.

AA is 0-3 at SMW. What facts are you looking on?

Due to what achievements? Ward has a fair chance to eclipse Joe but he aint there yet. Thats why I keep telling ya you dont know what you are on about.

How you gathered I was screaming from a post on an internet is beyond me. We can call each others posts rubbish all day, that's a female trait you seem to cling to. Here's a question, how many top 5 guys did Joe fight in his prime @ 168?

They both had won over Johnson, you spin **** to sound like he K.O.'d Johnson. I can't debate people who skew things when the facts are clear. Struggled? They both won by majority decision. :patsch

It's not hate, it's FACT. Joe Calzaghe has more early stoppages than any ELITE fighter should have.

First of all, he's not 0-3 at SMW, look it up. Second, he was DQ'd against Dirrell but lost to arguably the #1 and #2 guy at SMW! The difference between Abraham and Lacy, in your terrible comparison is that Abraham is a far better fighter than Lacy ever was. I mean, Lacy lost to a SHOT RJJ and Taylor for christ sake!

And what achievement are you basing your cupping of Calzaghe's balls on? His war with 43 year old Hopkins? His beating of SHOT RJJ? Or the dismantling of over hyped Lacy? Take your pic..:hi:

It seems like a person's perception of Hopkins at the time of the Calzaghe fight is the determing factor into their perception of Slappy's legacy. To me, Pascal is a low workrate fighter who gasses easily, so I don't consider him among Hopkins better wins. Therefore, I don't give Zags much credit for beating that old ass Hopkins.

But yeah, it is hypocritical for Hopkins to be old when he fought Slappy but awesome for beating Pascal. Sometimes people just don't think through their own arguments.
