I think our American friends don't understand loyalty.

They go to watch Calzaghe fight because they like him - he could be fighting you or me and plenty would still turn up and watch.

Most Americans are all the same, our guys gonna KO your guy etc, when this fails to materialise, the Yank fighter metamorphes into a shot fighter, old guy, or a useless one.

When Floyd fought Hatton, I knew Ricky was really up against it, and hoped he would pull it off. But my assessment of both fighters remains the same, even though Hatton got KO'd. And those who suggested Hatton lost to Cortez would surely now admit they were overreacting - Cortez had a shocker, thats how I put it, but didn't cause the defeat for Hatton.

You are always the same with any non-American fighters, no doubt Lennox Lewis was also useless.

KRG you are of course correct but sadly ever since the build up to the Hatton / Mayweather fight the generalisations and anti euro/uk crap getting thrown about on here has been nothing short of ridiculous , yet when an American fighter loses to a Brit suddenly generalisations and tarring everyone wit one brush never happens ??

read some post...actually lewis was the best. Mayweather and pac are still definitely above calzaghe. Calzaghe is not better than mayweather. I give calzaghe credit for his fight against hop, hopkins was old but definitely still in the ranks p4p.
