If he's the greatest of all time, then why are people so shaky to even put him forward as a legend? Why would you say Calzaghe is the GOAT when you have people like Ali and Lamotta? No-one can make a claim of Calzaghe dominating a division or fighting the best. I'm not disputing he's had a few tough bouts like Kessler and the dismantling of Lacy was impressive but is that really enough to classify the guy as 'the best'? A man who stayed and fought in his hometown for so many years? An undefeated streak means nothing when there was fights out there that people wonder about, and I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about back in the day.
greatest of all time? pffft.. he is a great champion but not the greatest of all time..not enough top line opponents
*cough*****cough* the only clear thing about that fight was hopkin's utter delusion which obviously spreads like swine flu throughout his groupies, hence that post. gtfo calzaghe won that by a margin fool.
21 pages... and still going. Sometimes I wonder how so many people can waste so much time without the world coming to a standstill.
This thread-starter is the ESB equivalent of an anal creampie. The Most Hideously Inbred Poster Of The Year Award is yours! :happy
I was just pointing out something that hasn't been said yet. I have pretty much replied to similar accusations that were in your post, so I thought I would pick your Lamotta comment because that had not been mentioned in the thread so far.
Just look at some of his earlier fights were he displays his raw power, his brittle hands are one of the saddest stories in modern boxing history, but he didn't let this get him down, he just altered his style in the latter part of his career.
Mate its a massive wind up. Guys from the Brit forum often do this. I'm amazed people keep falling for it.
Did you choose to ignore the weak resume part of my post? You have to be trolling, no one is this stupid
