    ... ?

Is it possible to complete that sentence or is he the GOAT?

It is exactly 10 years now, almost to the day that he beat Mikkel Kessler.

At SMW he is IMO. At LHW he probably isn't Top30 or even Top50. He did nothing there.

a top ten one for sure, but the greatest since Ottke, I guess, since they were very similar but ottke made over 20 major title defences whereas joe made only 5 or 6.

Thats a major difference in accomplishments even if joe is better h2h than ottke.

RJJ in his prime would spank Joe @ SMW.

Jones was much better. Joe wouldn't have gone near a prime Jones. Don't blame him either.

He's the top Super Middleweight and nobody has done enough to get near him there, but edging out Bernard Hopkins and beatng a washed up Roy Jones Jr does not make him a great Light Heavyweight.

He was the greatest SMW since Chris Eubank.

He was the greatest ever at super middle for me.

Followed by Andre Ward actually in my opinion, although it depends whether you're allowing me to consider his fights with Kovalev at light heavyweight or not

Ward Froch Dawson and Kovalev are all clearly better. H2H I would favor Stevenson too

That's it. The torch got passed onto Joe and he sure made a ton of defenses--just like Chris did. It sure did tie up that belt for a long long time.

greatest minor title holder since eubank for sure, but thats damning with feint praise, since joe went on to very briefy hold major titles.

in term o major title holders he was just a brief one, the greatest since kessler.

I don't really make lists for weight classes outside the original eight, but he's up there with the top SMWs. As for light heavy, it's a bit awkward, for obvious reasons. Maybe around number 50 or 60.

    He was certainly very accomplished
    at Super Middleweight, having won
all four major World titles at the
    weight (IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO).
Won 20 Plus World title fights at
    168 lbs, Greatest Super
    Middleweight of all time.
