LOL, everyone on here is not 12 and some people can remember when things actually took place. the fact is the SMW division is the newest division in boxing (bar maybe some miniscule weightclass no one follows). It was created in the mid 80s and all major organizations had there version by the start of the 90s.

I can remember when the IBF was not looked upon as a credible belt, can you tell me when the WBO was recognized as legit? :think

 

As soon as Nigel Benn won it.

Who cares how new a division is? It's all about the fighters in it.

For instance, I'm guessing you're a fan of Roy Jones. What do you consider more impressive, Roy Jones winning a portion of the SMW title against James Toney? Or Julio Cesar Chavez jr winning a portion of the MW title against Sebastian Zbik? Is it JCC jr because he did it in the more historic MW division??
