have you seen the kessler ward fight? it was crap. ward did just enough to win, and im not even talking about the head butt.
also calzaghe beat kessler in his prime, and a fresh fighter.

you say that if jones can drop calzaghe in 08 then he would have ko'd him in his prime? power is the last thing to go in a fighter and jones landed several flush shots that had no affect on calzaghe. it was a flash knockdown.

johnson overwhelmed and outmanned jones jr. calzaghe boxed his ears off, and beat him in every aspect of the game, calzaghe beat jones in his own game, out boxed and outfought him. im not a hater but the truth is the truth (AG). i even say that prime for prime calzaghe, james toney and bernard hopkins are higher than jones jr even tho roy beat toney and hopkins earlier in their careers. why? because they relied on skill rather than natural gifts like speed and reflexes.

yeah but by that reckoning Bruce Lee, Master Toddy and even Tiger Woods beat Roy Jones, they have oodles more skill.

Once you are in the ring, what matters is beating the other guy. Reverence to Toney's defensive and infighting abilities, but inspite of them he got totally outclassed.

if you arent going to accept that someone postprime cant beat a fortysomething shot2**** ATG at their own former game, then theres no real point in debating with you. Trevor Berbick must be the greatest ever HW in your eyes for thrashing Ali.
