Great to hear. Calzaghe is the best British boxer ever and tied for current world wide pound for pound best with Mayweather!

If Hopkins and Winky have the courage, Calzaghe cements his legacy in 2008.

This is brilliant for British boxing.. I cannot describe just how happy I am. Enzo fully deserving of the coach/trainer of the year also.

    I'm just so pleased.

Chuffed to bits that Joe won - Swiss Lewis looked like someone had just tango'ed him when he picked up 2nd (again). As for Ricky - just a class act. Don't think he quite realises just how proud of him we are, and certainly doesn't have to apologise for anything.

I loved Joe's answer to the 'how have you stayed at the top for so long' question...

CALZAGHE: I suppose I'm just boring... all I do is box.

Well he is pretty good looking in fairness, even my mom said so. He has all his teeth and all unlike some, which is an added bonus

Added to this he is a fantastic singer, and he often entertains fellow gym members and keeps morale up

At least has not been KO's by two journey men like Lewis. See McCall and that stiff Rahman.

If you understand the pure boxing, you cannot deny Calzaghe's class.

168 has loads of talent and is the second most competitive division, after 147.

No Lewis is the best British, he achieved so much more, yes Joe has been champ a long time but most of that was just as WBO which on its own wasnt that significant a belt to hold while fighting the lowly opposition he fought.
Lacy showed on saturday by being unable to look good against Manfredo that he was a hype job and that was joes best win.

Lacy was a much better fighter 2-3 years ago. The beating he took as well as the injury/surgery have made him damaged goods. Lacy no longer has the firepower, snap, or tenacity he once had. He is even slower now.

And you call the Lacy fight Calzaghe's best win? Ever heard of Mikkel Kessler?

How has Lewis achieved more? He beat an old Holyfield and a old Tyson. He was KO'd by two journey men like Lewis. See McCall and that stiff Rahman.

Calzaghe's boxing skills are at a much higher level than Lewis. He is also much more versitale. Calzaghe is also has a much better chin, better stamina, and has beaten elite fightes like Kessler and Eubank.

Calzaghe at the top of the list for British fighters. Followed by Buchanan, Eubank, Winstone, etc.

Lewis is overrated because he is a heavyweight. Barely makes the top ten Brits.
