Ali fought Joe frazier at their greatest. Holyfield fought Bowe at their greatest. Marvin hagler fought hearns, Duran at their greatest, Jones fought a young and primed James toney.Oscar De La Hoya fought Mosely at their greatest.Manny Paquio fought marquez at their greatest.Floyd Mayweather fought Hatton at their greatest. Any boxing fan with the acception of calzaghe has to see the difference in what these past greats have accomplished compared to what he has done. No comparison. Sorry Joe in what I see as a very protected career, which is the job of your handlers, they did their jobs a little to good for your greatness. However, Hats off to joe for making this sport a little more interesting in a time when boxing is clearly not at its best with the heavyweights being what they are, heavy!!

Hagler fought Hearns and Duran at their greatest? No he didn't. Duran was 25lbs north of his best weight class and well past prime and Hearns was also 13lbs north of his natural weight class and above what some may class as his best (JMW.)

Even though I don't think it would have made THAT much difference, the James Toney that Roy Jones fought was struggling with weight.

Hatton isn't on the same level as Hopkins. Hopkins was at the time and still is a top 10 P4P fighter and at the time the man to beat at LHW.

Joe isn't a top 10 ATG, or even a top 50 ATG. However, I reckon that he is a top 100, and there is NO shame in that. Infact, it's a damn good achievement to be in the top 100 boxers OF ALL TIME.

    EDIT:
Actually, what I said about Hatton isn't fair. He is a top ten P4P fighter (I think anyway), but I wouldn't put him up there with Bernard Hopkins.
