I agree with you. Wars wears down a fighters body. But let me ask you in return, how is it proved or measured if a fighter is shot? After all, some fighters endure wars and remains competitive. Packman is one example. Usually it is assumed that a guy is "shot" or "past prime" when he starts losing or is made to look stupid. How can we know he did not simple faced someone who was better?

In the case of Eubank, people say he was past it because he lost his two fallowing fights. But that might have something to do with the fact that he moved up a lot in weight and fought someone very good in Carl Thompson.

Dude, if you are going to write stuff like that you should not tell me to learn my boxing.

Oh for ****s sake. If I where to make a proper ATG list I would have to study the career of every boxer in history in depth. When people here on ESB say a guy is here or there in their ATG list they only go on gut feeling.

I say he wasnt prime because he did not beat decent fighters in 3 or 4 years before Calzaghe fight, he lost 2 times to Collins and beat mediocre opponents, if thats a prime Eubank for you i dont know what to say!!!
And what very good or great prime fighter did Joe beat Kessler i give you that, Lacy i would not call him very good or great i would call him hype, Joes best victory is over a good version (not prime) of Bernard Hopkins, if he didnt fight Hopkins and ghost of Roy Jones he would have just solid record, for example RJJ beat prime Hopkins and prime Toney that beats anything Joe ever done!!!

Near prime Jones:lol::lol:?Even Joe admitted in his autobiography years before the fight that Jones was shot.Coupled with Jones' performances going in to that fight, that's irrefutable. You're just a bad poster.
