So you would rate both Floyd and Joey above Ezzard Charles because he only had a couple of title defences even tho he battered Archie Moore 3 times, beat Bivin, Maxim, Marshall, Jersey Joe, Louis etc?

You would rate both ahead of Sam Langord who never held a world title yet beat Joe Gans (heard of him?) at LW and jumped up to KO heavyweights?

Cool, just like to see what person I'm dealing with. Undefeated = be all and end all. Is Kell Brook in your p4p list ahead of Pac? Povetkin ahead of Wlad?

Quite frankly I think if you put Ezzard Charles in the ring with Joe Calzaghe, he would be butchered.

Now with Calzaghe, you're talking a guy who held the legitimate undisputed title in two divisions at the exact same time, had a decade in the sport and fought close to 50 fights without any decision going against him.

As much as people want to play up about who he faced (largely because they have no clue about boxing prior to this internet forum) - he faced legitimate contenders from the time he fought Eubank onward.

So, do I rate him solely because he's undefeated? No - I rate him ahead of Marciano who has more wins without a defeat solely because Marciano did not hold his title as long as Calzaghe did.

Now, those of you who see Mike Tyson as an ATG heavyweight - I refute that, because I believe no fighter has a prime period of just two years if they're legitimately great.

It's the longevity, the performance over the years and the dominance over guys who deserve to be in the ATG list themselves that put both Floyd and Calzaghe in my Top 25, because I don't rate on nostalgia, I rate on how they impacted their sport during their time period and the likelihood that they would be beaten.

Floyd will NEVER be an underdog unless he faced someone at 175+
Calzaghe after the Lacy fight, would never be made an underdog again.

Yet 40+ year old Hopkins has the best wins of his career and would dominate 39- year old Hopkins

    Work that out.

Best wins of his career? He beat an inactive LHW known for gassing, not a world beater.

Hopkins best wins of his career were Trinidad and De La Hoya; both of which occurred well before 40.

Why didn't you just post 'dude, I don't really no what I'm talking about'? It would have saved me the time.

The same 40+ year old Hopkins who would destroy Pavlik and become the oldest champion in boxing history after beating Pascal who was the legit LHW champion after he beat Dawson.

That version of Hopkins is better than any version of Corrales

A prime Corrales went on to beat Castillo; a man many felt held his own or beat Mayweather.

A 40+ Hopkins has beaten nobody on that level or anywhere near it.

I don't usually post on the general (mainly because of ignorant guys like him), but is he for real? Or is it a subtle wind up?
