By "American's", you mean HBO, and all of Lacy's family and close friends I'll assume. Oh, and the 4 fighters you mentioned that picked against Calslappy. Even if the entire population of the US was talking up Lacy, he still was no good. Average at best. Not because of anything Calslappy did, but nice try, but because he wasn't that good to begin with. Kind of like Amir Khan.....

What does this go to prove?

How many fighters are talked up to be the next best thing only to be proven otherwise?

Just recently, Khan and Ortiz spring to mind.

It's a weak attempt to try and credit a poor win to an over-hyped fighter with a poor record bolstered by a couple gift decisions.

It's cool, I don't begrudge you friend, even though your mother made a terrible decision being Pro-Life. It is what it is right?

Prime Calzaghe would win by KO, old Calzaghe by clear UD.

Ward was looking gassed against Froch, who has a low workrate and is oldish and slow, yet he was still catching Ward.
Ward would be outworked, out thought and completely out fought, as well as outboxed.

Ward is just fighting Calzaghes leftovers and next will be fighting a guy who jumped SMW to avoid Calzaghe, who will be boiling down just to make it happen, and guess where the fight will be held...

Maybe if Ward achieves a resume close to Calzaghes we can talk

Yeah Ward beat unwell rusty double vision suffering Kessler who had been exposed by Calzaghe, yet Calzaghe beat Bika easier than Ward and Ward was fighting Bika after Calzaghe showed him the way, like he did against Kessler

For whatever the US media and the networks though of Lacy, they all swung and missed by a mile at what he was and what they thought he would be. To try to make him out to be some huge win or tough opponent for Calsappy based upon the opinions of a network, some boxing writers, and a few American fans is laughable and only proves the point that Calslappy's resume is highly questionable as Jeff ****ing Lacy is being heralded as a top notch win.

Why do you think Calzaghe would get dropped?
Calzaghe got dropped in his 2 last fights when shot, at a higher weight he was new to, but in 46 fights Calzaghe was only dropped 4 times and was never doing the chicken dance or having to hold on to survive.
I would say prime for prime, there is more chance of Ward being dropped after watching him do the chicken dance and fall against D Boone

No fighter between 168-175 who ever lived could come close to beating the great Joe Calzaghe. Not a prime Jones jr, or Bob Foster or Mike Spinks. Calzaghe is the single greatest fighter who ever lived. There you go guys, I beat you to it. Enjoy!!!!!!

Ok Ward has no power, he would never drop any version of Calzaghe let alone any other top level fighter. He couldnt even drop alan green when Johnson and Kessler had no trouble knocking him down and out

Secondly a Prime Calzaghe hit pretty hard, as well as showing a great ability to adapt to any style.

It stays close and cagey for the first 3 til Calzaghe picks up his rythym and his output proves to be too much for Ward who will hug and come in with the head in frustration. 117-111 type decision
